WOODLAND, Calif. -- A man searching for his wallet in a trash bin was scooped up by a garbage truck and taken on a long ride. Yolo County Sheriff's Lt. Martin Torres said the man got struck in the trash truck when it made a pickup Tuesday. Torres said the man told police he was stuck in the truck for about an hour as it headed to a landfill. Authorities said the man told police he used lumber in the truck to reach the top of the garbage pile and avoid the compactor.
