KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A jury worked all day Wednesday but made no decision in the case of an Ohio aircraft parts-maker being sued by the family of the late Gov. Mel Carnahan. The crash occurred Oct. 16, 2000, as Carnahan, a Democrat, was en route to a campaign appearance in New Madrid during his race for the U.S. Senate seat then held by Republican John Ashcroft, now the U.S. attorney general. The deliberations in Jackson County Circuit Court are to resume at 9:30 a.m. today, a court spokeswoman said.
