COLUMBIA, Mo. -- Columbia fire officials say a two-alarm blaze at a manufacturing plant caused an estimated $1 million in damage.
No injuries were reported in the fire, which occurred about 8:15 a.m. Sunday at Engineered Plastic Components.
Fire crews had to call for backup after getting to the scene and finding heavy smoke inside the building.
A sprinkler system contained the blaze while firefighters worked to get the flames out.
Hydraulic lines damaged by the blaze sparked additional flames and caused about 200 gallons of hydraulic fluid to leak.
The cause is still being investigated.
