The Southeast Missourian asked people if Jackson needs more traffic signals because of the city's growth.

Misty Smith:

"I don't think we need any more stoplights. It would take you longer to get where you're going. Some people in a hurry would just run the stoplights, and there would be more accidents."

Cheri House:

"We definitely need a stoplight at Farmington and Route D when school lets out. There are a lot of people in Jackson. It's grown so much. We've lived here four years and we have seen a tremendous change.

A.D. Hoffman II:

"It's hard to say, but it might help to have them where there's lot of traffic coming out of the new residential areas. It might help at Highway 61 and Route D and next to the new middle school.

Todd Newell:

"In certain areas we could use them. It looks like some people have their houses up for sale because they can't get out on the road too well because there is so much traffic."

Alvin Schlegel:

"I live about a mile out of town, and when I drive in Jackson the traffic is not a problem for me. I don't really think they need any more stoplights."
