Suggestions for Bell City windfall

To the editor:Residents of Bell City could be in the midst of economic growth. How's that? you might ask.

First, the councilmen need to set up a concession stand and charge admission to the car races on Main Street at night. That would bring in a few extra dollars to our ailing economy.

Second, take up the stop signs on our end of town and recycle them. Very few young people stop at them anymore.

Third, we're already saving gas on the patrol car, since it's hardly ever moved.

Lastly, and most important, the councilmen should impose a tax on the drug dealers, or, at the very least, make them purchase a merchant's license since they openly sell their merchandise on the street corners and church parking lots.

What should we do with this windfall of surplus money? That's easy. Give our policeman a raise, because if it wasn't for him all of this wouldn't be possible.
