LETTERS: THANKS TO CAPE'S RETIRING TEACHERS

To the editor:

Saying thank you seems much too small a gesture to make to the large number of teachers retiring this year from the Cape Girardeau School District. Many of these people, who were pictured in the Missourian, had a positive impact on the education of our three children. Indeed, it is an understatement to say that the school system is losing a wealth of talent and teaching experience. These teachers also represent a treasure of care and compassion both in the classroom and in the larger community of Cape Girardeau. They were excellent role models for all with whom they came in contact. Again, please accept our thanks for a job well done.
