Letter to the Editor

Online news coverage

I realize we now live in a hi-tech, computer and electronic gadget-driven world. Now that said, I also realize this has simply reached the point of stupid-ridiculous when it comes to the news, be it print, verbal or video.

I pay for newspapers and magazines and also TV (now that channel 12 did away with their free signal). Nothing gripes me more than to read a news story, or hear or see a reporter relating something be it news, a recipe or list of school closings and conclude with, "For more on this go to our website, www.what-ever.com." Print, verbal and video journalists should give the complete story! As I said we paid money for this, so why are we not getting our money's worth?

Those folks sitting in their "media castles" need to realize that all of us aren't tech oriented. Matter of fact, the last numbers I remember coming across said something like 20-30 percent aren't using computers, cellphones, etc. and almost double those percentages for us "baby boomers."

I would appreciate getting all the news, stories and information related to any one event, not just part of it! Please quit discriminating!
