Holiday home tour

Christmas is more than a one-day holiday. It's a time to reflect on the true meaning of why we celebrate the day, a time to enjoy the sights and sounds of the season and a chance to generously spread cheer to those in need. An opportunity to do all three is coming up this weekend with the Lutheran Family and Children's Services annual Holiday Home Tour.

This year's tour, scheduled for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, will have a special event in addition to the tour. Jeff Lewis, the star of Bravo TV's reality home remodeling show "Flipping Out," will be at the home of Shannon and Angie Davis on Friday for a VIP event. Lewis worked on the Davises' home and will be on hand to help raise funds for LFCS.

In addition to the Davises' home, the other locations on the tour include the homes of Eric and Sarah Bohl, James and Michelle Outman, Jen Cecich, David and Carol Bill and the James W. Wente Manor.

There are a limited number of VIP tickets available. VIP tickets are $50, and regular tour tickets are $20. For more information or to purchase tickets, contact LFCS.

Thank you to all those who graciously open their homes for this event. Consider attending the tour. It's a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the Christmas season and support those in need.
