Robb McClary

The death this week of Robb McClary leaves a void at the Cape Girardeau County administrative center in Jackson, where he served as an assistant to the county commission. An even bigger loss is felt by his extended family and the many friends he made both professionally and through his involvement in church and community activities.

A Jackson native, McClary's professional life included his service as city manager in several states. He also gave his time and talent to important community efforts such as Habitat for Humanity and the Boy Scouts of America. And he displayed his musical side by playing saxophone in the band Mid-Life Crisis. He also took active roles in his church, La Croix United Methodist Church.

A quiet, cheerful and unassuming man, McClary leaves a host of family members and friends who can recall the many times he made them smile.
