YOUTH BRIEFS: KELLY TO HOLD BASEBALL CLINICS

Kelly baseball coach Mike Scott will conduct winter hitting clinics for boys and girls in grades 3 through 7 over the next three Saturdays.

Grades 5 and 6 will meet Jan. 23; grades 7 and 8 will meet Jan. 30; and grades 3 and 4 will meet Feb. 6. The clinics will take place in the Kelly cafeteria from 8:30 a.m.-noon.

Participants will receive individualized instruction, practice, self-improvement drills and professional handouts. The cost is $10 and participants should supply their own bats. Parents and little league coaches are welcome to attend.

Under Scott, Kelly has won two consecutive district championships and the Hawks finished third in the state in 1997.
