Woodland hurler Kyle Reynolds tossed a complete game to lead the Cardinals past Advance 4-2 on the road Thursday.
Reynolds allowed two earned runs on 11 hits while striking out two, walking none and hitting two batters.
Reynolds pitched his way out of jams in four different innings, including a bases-loaded situation in the sixth. He also retired the heart of the Hornets' batting order in the bottom of the seventh inning after Advance had scored one run and put a runner in scoring position.
Advance pitcher Chris Welch also went the distance, allowing four runs, only one of which was earned, as the Hornets committed three errors.
Three Hornets had multiple-hit games — Welch went 3-for-3, Dylan Dunnivan was 3-for-3 and Kendyl Page went 2-for-3.
Woodland improved to 6-10, while Advance dropped to 4-13.

Shae Simmons brought it all.
Simmons pitched five innings, allowed no runs on two hits, while striking out 11 batters to lead the Rams (14-1) past the Braves.
Simmons also was 2-for-4 at the plate, with a double and two RBIs.
Ryan Modglin and Cody Carlyle both blasted home runs for Scott City.
Carlyle added three RBIs and Josh Henson went 2-for-4 with three RBIs.

The Bulldogs suffered a gut-wrenching double-overtime loss to Notre Dame of St. Louis.

Kendra Schilli provided the Pirates with all the offense they needed, as she scored two goals and added an assist to lead Perryville (11-4, 4-1) to the win.
Becca Hanquist and Alicia Kueker both netted a goal and added an assist. Alicia Bauwens tallied an assist and Natalie Bauwens made five saves in the conference win.

Allison Bueter improved to 7-1 on the mound with a two-strikeout performance for the Wildcats.
Whitney Vandeven drilled a solo homer, while Emily Vandeven drove in three runs.
Mallory James finished with a triple for Leopold (14-2), which returns to action today at Delta.

Notre Dame's boys captured a tri-meet with Dexter and New Madrid by placing first in 12 events.
Neil Kanneberg had a first-place finish in the 800-meter run, while anchoring the first-place 3,200 and 1,600 relays. Ryan Johnson placed first in the 3,200 and finished third in the 1,600 for the Bulldogs.
Taylor Essner captured first in the 300 intermediate hurdles, second in the 110 high hurdles and fourth in the 100.
Grant Eudy tied a school record by leaping 6 feet 2 inches in the high jump to place first for Notre Dame.
On the girls side, the Bulldogs placed second.
Tori Pfau won the 1,600 and 3,200, while Jill Schnurbusch placed in three events. Allie Job won the 100 and placed fourth in the long jump.
Jessica Triller finished second in the 800 and placed fourth in the 1,600.
