Wilson leads Central grapplers to third place in weekend meet

Central senior wrestler Zach Wilson won the 171-pound division at a 10-team meet Saturday at Fort Zumwalt North High School in O'Fallon, Mo.

Wilson pinned Parkway North's Antwon Jones to win his division. Wilson was one of five Tigers to medal as Central finished third in the overall standings with 200 points.

Fort Osage won with 243 points and Fort Zumwalt North finished with 208.

Central junior Trey Grovenor reached the title match in the 275-pound division, but lost a 4-2 decision to Demarco Kemp of University City.

Placing third for the Tigers were sophomores Caleb Yeargain (112) and Thomas Fleming (119), as well as senior Ian Fitzgerald (189).

Freshman Dalton Wilson (103) and juniors Desmond Howard (125) and Carl Lathum (215) all finished fourth.
