DESLOGE -- The Cape Girardeau Commerce Bank White Sox remained alive in the Missouri State Senior Babe Ruth Tournament by winning two games Saturday.
Cape (27-16), after losing to Jefferson City 8-4 in Thursday's opening round of the six-team meet, came back Saturday to rout Boonville 19-1 in five innings and hold off Marshall 9-5.
Three teams remain in the double-elimination tournament, with host Mineral Area the lone undefeated squad. Cape will play Jefferson City at 1 p.m. today, with the winner meeting Mineral Area at 4 p.m.
Brandon Blankenship pitched four innings for the win against Boonville. Mitch Ogles had three hits and four RBIs while Paul Dobbins and Chuck Brown both homered.
Ryan LeGrand hurled all seven innings for the win against Marshall. Greg Craft had a home run and four RBIs.
