JEFFERSON CITY -- Jared Tanz ended his brilliant career at Perryville as a three-event all-stater Friday at the Class 3A Track and Field Championships.

After running three races earlier in the day -- the 4 X 100, the 1,600 and the 800 -- Tanz took third place in the 800 with a personal record of 1:56.8.

"It was a great race," said Perryville coach Craig Knaak. "He came real close to getting second. It was a leaner at the tape."

Tanz, along with James Boice, Nathan Davis and Nathan Moore took fourth in the 4 X 800 with a time of 8:10.
