The remainder of Southeast Missouri State's four-game weekend baseball series against Purdue is up in the air because of anticipated bad weather.
Southeast and Purdue played a pair of nine-inning games Friday at Capaha Field. Only one contest originally was scheduled, but today's scheduled doubleheader was moved up to Friday.
That's because today's forecast calls for a strong chance of snow and/or sleet, with temperatures not expected to exceed the low 30s.
Southeast coach Mark Hogan said no definite time has been set for any potential game today.
"We'll just wait and see what the weather is like [this morning]," Hogan said. "If it's humanly possible, we'll play, but we're not going to jeopardize anybody's safety.
"If we can't play [today], maybe we can play two Sunday. But it all just depends what kind of weather we get [today]."
The original series schedule had the final game being played Sunday, when the forecast is for sun and temperatures in the high 30s.
Any further series information will be posted on the Southeast athletic department Web site at gosoutheast.com
