MALDEN — The Malden High School volleyball program will serve as host for a junior varsity tournament on Saturday, Aug. 26.

Both the high school and elementary school gymnasiums will be used, per school officials.

Pools A and B will take place in the high school, with Pool C in the elementary gym.

The top teams from each pool will advance to the gold bracket. Gold, silver and bronze brackets will be determined by win/loss record then point differentials.

Warm-ups will be five minutes, including shared serving.

In pool play, there will be two 25-point games with a 27-point cap. Games will begin with a score of 4-all.

Bracket play will follow a single-elimination format, best two-of-three sets.

The first two sets will be played to 25 points with no cap. The third set will be to 15 points (no cap as well).

There will be four minutes between matches.

Here are the pools for the tournament:

Pool A

Kennett, Delta C-7, Malden and Twin Rivers

Pool B

Gideon, Campbell, Senath-Hornersville and Caruthersville

Pool C

Risco, Portageville, New Madrid Country Central and Dexter

Admission will be $3 for adults and $2 for children. Concessions will be offered at both gymnasiums.
