Unbeaten Jackson girls stop rival Bluff 48-43

Jackson junior Andrea Barnes scored 13 points off the bench to help the visiting Indians win 48-43 over Poplar Bluff in a battle of girls basketball district rivals.

Barnes hit a pair of 3-pointers in the fourth quarter to help Jackson erase a 31-30 deficit heading into the final period.

Bobbie Jones added 13 points for Jackson, which remained undefeated and improved to 9-0.

Jackson hit eight of 13 free throws, compared to a zero-for-two night for the Mules.

Sandra Pratt led the Mules with 16 points.
