Southeast Missouri State track and field teams ended their regular season by competing in three meets over the weekend. Southeast Missouri State track and field teams ended their regular season by competing in three meets over the weekend.

Southeast had its most success at the Georgia Tech Invitational, where the Redhawks sent their largest group of athletes.

Josh Uchtman won the shot put, tossing an outdoor-best 58 feet, 11 1/4 inches. Craig Robinson (54-8 1/4) and Kevin Farley (54-6 3/4) were third and fourth, respectively.

Farley (180-3) and Robinson (172-1) also placed fourth and sixth, respectively, in the hammer throw, while Farley added a sixth-place finish in the discus (155-0).

Reggie Miller was eighth in the long jump (23-7 1/2) and Blake Carter finished ninth (23-6 1/4).

Southeast sent several distance runners to the Dr. Keeler Invitational, hosted by North Central College in Naperville, Ill.

Jessica Bollinger and Rebekah Lawson recorded personal bests in the 10,000 meters. Bollinger clocked 36 minutes, 4.18 seconds to place third while Lawson was fifth in 36:08.44.

Four athletes competed at the Louisville Twilight meet and all had top-10 finishes.

DeAndre Simmons was third in the 200 (21.42) and fifth in the 100 (10.83).

Jill Schnurbusch led the Redhawks' pole vaulting trio at the meet, placing fourth after clearing 11 feet, 11 3/4 inches.

Erica Grajales and Nikki Buchheit each vaulted 11-5 3/4, with Grajales finishing seventh due to fewer misses and Buchheit placing ninth.

Southeast now will await word on which athletes qualified for the NCAA West Regional, which runs May 24 through 26 in Austin, Texas.
