COLUMBIA -- Southeast Missouri State University fell behind Missouri 8-0 after three innings and never recovered in a 12-6 loss Wednesday night.
Mizzou pounded four home runs in the victory, getting two homers from shortstop Griffin Moore as the Tigers improved to 31-14.
Darin Kinsolving had three of the Indians' eight hits, including a double and triple, as Southeast fell to 26-20. Also for Southeast, Robert Kern blasted his fourth home run of the season.
Lanson DeBrock (2-4) took the loss for Southeast, allowing seven runs in the first two innings. Ryan Jamison (7-2) pitched three scoreless innings of relief to get the win.
Southeast returns home for an important Ohio Valley Conference series with Morehead State this weekend. The Indians, needing just one win to clinch second place in the OVC and host the conference tournament, play a doubleheader Saturday at 3 p.m. The Indians' regular season ends Sunday with a single game at 1 p.m.
