Central sophomore Brittany Moreland paced the Central girls cross country team Saturday with a third-place finish at the Parkway West Invitational.

Moreland finished in 19 minutes, 11 seconds. The Tigers finished 10th in the team standings. Notre Dame de Sion was first.

Tyler Yeargain finished 14th to lead Central's boys. Central finished 12th out of 17 teams. Blue Springs was first.

Beth Barton led Jackson in 31st. Tanner Cline led Jackson's boys in 34th. The Indians finished 13th.

Notre Dame won at St. Louis Notre Dame.

Beth Schnurbusch improved to 12-0 with the complete-game victory, and Kristain Burger increased her school-record home run mark with her eighth of the season.

Kristain Burger and Paris Burger had three hits apiece for the Bulldogs (23-2).
