WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- Chris Riley had two eagles and four birdies in an erratic 4-under 67 Friday to take a share of the lead in the Michelob Championship with Jonathan Kaye and Len Mattiace.

Riley also had a double bogey on the second hole and two bogeys. Kaye shot a bogey-free 67 and Mattiace rebounded from a first-hole bogey with a six-birdie 66.

The leaders were one better than defending champion and first-round leader David Toms, who followed his 64 with a 70, and local favorite Carl Paulson (66) and Neal Lancaster (69).

After two near-perfect days, weather forecasts for Saturday and Sunday call for temperatures in the 60s and a stiffer wind off the James River.

Six players were two back at 135, including Charles Howell III, whose 65 was the lowest round of the day. The others were Jimmy Green, Greg Chalmers, Kirk Triplett, Michael Muehr and Esteban Toledo.

Toms, who made it around the course with just 22 putts on Thursday, wasn't quite as sharp Friday, making only one as long as 10 feet.

Ty Tryon, the 17-year-old making his professional debut, followed an opening 76 with a 72 and was among those heading home for the weekend.

Delasin, a second-year pro who grew up in the San Francisco Bay area, had a 71 for a 3-under 141 total. Rachel Teske, who tied Se Ri Pak for third at 142, shot a 65 to establish a women's record at the young course. Pak had a 72.

Despite another day of unpredictable wind, Webb made nine birdies on the long, winding holes of Hiddenbrooke Golf Club. Only a triple bogey on No. 14 prevented her from leaping well ahead of the elite field, comprised of 20 top female players.

German Masters

PULHEIM, Germany -- Bernhard Langer shot an 8-under 64 to take a two-stroke lead in his own tournament, the German Masters.

Langer missed the course record at Gut Laerchenhof by a stroke while moving to 13-under 131. He won the 1989, 1991 and 1997 tournaments and has 10 tour victories in his native Germany.

Turtle Bay Championship

KAHUKU, Hawaii -- Fred Gibson birdied five of the last seven holes for a 4-under 68 and a share of the first-round lead in the rain-swept Turtle Bay Championship.

John Jacobs and Terry Mauney also opened with 68s as rain and 25-mph wind gusts hit the Turtle Bay Resort's Palmer Course.

Hale Irwin, the winner last year in the final event at Kaanapali, was a stroke back along with Hubert Green, George Archer, Isao Aoki, Don Pooley and Dick Mast.
