First-round leader Brent Brooks fell three strokes off the lead. After tying the course record with a 63, Brooks shot a 73 on Friday for a 136 total.

A morning thunderstorm delayed Friday's round one hour and 25 minutes. Prior to the delay, Thompson, starting on the back nine, opened with five straight birdies. When the rain hit he had played 10 holes at 6-under par.

Campbell birdied five holes in a bogey-free round.

Third-round play begins today at 8 a.m. The final round will be held Sunday with the winner pocketing $15,000.
