DALLAS -- Texas is the preseason favorite to win the Big 12 title in a poll of the league's coaches.

It's the first time league coaches have picked the Longhorns to win the conference crown. Texas received 10 of 12 first-place votes and 120 points.

The Longhorns return their top three scorers from last season. Guard Daniel Gibson, last year's Big 12 Freshman of the Year, led the team at 14.2 points per game, followed by P.J. Tucker and Brad Buckman.

Oklahoma earned the other two first-place votes and was picked second. Kansas was chosen third, and Oklahoma State was selected fourth. Texas Tech, Iowa State, Texas A&M and Missouri were next in the preseason selections. Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas State and Baylor rounded out the poll.
