Chaffee Sr. Babe Ruth downs Jackson

Jamie Brant earned the win on the mound in the Chaffee Senior Babe Ruth baseball team's 11-3 victory in six innings over Jackson Senior Babe Ruth.

Brant added a double at the plate Monday.

Cole Hanna went 2 for 3 in the win.

C.J. McAlister suffered the loss for Jackson.

Josh Douglas went 2 for 3, while Cody Johnson doubled for Jackson.

Cape Sr. Legion falls in five innings

The Ford & Sons Cape Girardeau Senior American Legion Post 63 baseball team committed five errors in the first inning and couldn't recover in an 11-0 loss to Evansville in five innings Monday.

Andrew Williams took the loss after pitching the first 4 2/3 innings.

Only three of Evansville's runs were earned.

Ryan Siebert went 2 for 2 for Post 63 (6-4).

Cape Jr. Legion loses at Charleston

Adam Pope allowed seven runs on five hits over three innings to suffer the loss in the Plaza Tire Cape Girardeau Junior American Legion Post 63 baseball team's 12-2 loss in six innings at Charleston Senior Babe Ruth on Monday.

Trevor Propst went 2 for 2 with a run scored, while Aaron Grainger went 2 for 3 with a run scored.

Post 63 fell to 5-3.
