PERRYVILLE -- St. Vincent High's softball team picked up its first win of the season Friday when the Squaws rallied past visiting De Soto 13-11.
Elaine Brown's bases-loaded triple in the bottom of the seventh inning lifted the Squaws, who are now 1-7.
Brown had a huge game for the Squaws, going 4-for-4 with three runs scored, four runs batted in and four stolen bases.
Missy Thomas was the winning pitcher.
"The girls were very excited and so was I," said St. Vincent coach Mary Kutz.
Volleyball
Meadow Heights 15-15, Oak Ridge 2-10
PATTON -- Meadow Heights improved to 7-4 with a sweep of visiting Oak Ridge.
Rachel Yount paced the Lady Panthers with five kills.
Meadow Heights also swept the JV match 15-5, 15-6.
