St. Vincent and Paris both bring 5-5 records into their first-round Class 1 regional game tonight at St. Vincent High School.

While St. Vincent swept its three District 1 opponents and has won four straight, Paris went 2-1 in District 2 play and was 2-2 over the last four weeks of the regular season.

Paris concluded the regular season with a 46-0 loss to unbeaten Valle Catholic, which defeated St. Vincent 59-7 in Week 3 of the season. Valle, ranked No. 3 in Class 1, is the only opponent played by both schools.

Paris also yielded 61 and 58 points, respectively, in losses to unbeaten Marceline and Westran. Opponents averaged 26.6 points against Paris this season, while the Coyotes scored 24.4 points a game.

Tonight's winner faces the Hayti-Valle winner in Monday's sectional round.
