The St. Vincent volleyball team remained undefeated with a 25-15, 25-12 road victory Wednesday at Saxony Lutheran. The Squaws (8-0) were led by junior Kailyn Petzoldt, who had 17 service points with four aces, five digs, and 3 kills. Eagle Ridge 25 25 Trinity Chr. 16 15

Eagle Ridge Christian School defeated Trinity Christian of Carbondale, Ill., on Tuesday night. Kristen Margrabe had four kills and three aces. Abby Cohen added five kills.

JV -- Eagle Ridge won 16-25, 25-19, 25-17.

BOYS SWIMMING Clayton meet

The Notre Dame boys swim team took second in a three-team meet with St. Louis University High and Clayton. Notre Dame scored a total of 86 points in the event, which took place at Clayton.

Individual winners for the bulldogs included Logan Bollinger, who won the 500-meter freestyle with a time of 5 minutes, 37.83 seconds; and Nick Reinagel, who won the diving competition.

SOFTBALL Kelly 17, Sikeston 2

Kelly topped Sikeston 17-2 in a game that was stopped after the fourth inning when the mercy rule went into effect.

Casey Kern pitched three innings to earn the victory. She struck out three and allowed one earned run on two hits.

Ashley Vetter and Ashley Flayhardy led Kelly's hitting attack. Vetter went 2-for-3 with two doubles and four RBIs. Flayhardy, who also had four RBIs, added a double.

Kalie Hughes and Londyn Backfish each added two hits for kelly. Hughes had a triple, and Backfish finished with two RBIs.

Jackson racked up 13 hits in a 10-0 road victory against Goreville, Ill.

Darla Mangels pitched a complete game to earn the win, allowing four hits with one strikeout.

Hana Bolen went 4-for-5 with three RBIs for Jackson. Chelsea McDowell also had three RBIs and Roxanna Miller and Kelci Keith had two hits apiece.

St. Vincent 13, Ste. Genevieve 10

St. Vincent improved to 3-1 on the season with an extra-inning victory at Ste. Genevieve.

Kristin Wengert (3-1) was the winning pitcher.

Elizabeth Rozier, Ashley Hoover and Wengert each had two hits, as St. Vincent tallied a total of 10.

Notre Dame 15, Chaffee 0

Beth Schnurbusch threw a three-inning perfect game in a home rout.

Schnurbusch struck out five to improve to 5-0. Notre Dame moved to 9-0 on the season.

Paris Burger and Allison Peters had two hits apiece, part of Notre Dame's 14-hit attack.

Poplar Bluff 5, Central 1

Central was limited to just one hit in a road loss and fell to 6-7.

Courtney Schuessler had Central's lone hit. Amanda Nichols pitched the first three innings for the loss. Kelsy Holloway threw the final three innings. Holloway struck out three and walked one.
