St. Vincent and Perryville won first-round games in the Class 1 District 1 soccer tournament Saturday in Perryville.
Second-seeded St. Vincent beat seventh-seeded Kennett 6-0, while fourth-seeded Perryville defeated fifth-seeded Fredericktown 6-1.
Liz Brueckner scored twice for St. Vincent (18-6), while Courtney Besand, Jessica Welker, Amanda Wengert and Liz Rozier all added goals. Rachel Sutterer had two assists.
Megan Wengert and Anne Steele combined for the shutout.
Kendra Schilli had a goal and two assists for Perryville (15-8), which also received goals from Ashley Castleberry, Ava Johnson, Kasey Riney, Hannah Wills and Becka Hanquist. Alyssa Bauwens contributed two assists.
In Monday's semifinals, St. Vincent plays third-seeded Sikeston at 3:30 p.m. and Perryville faces top-seeded Notre Dame at 5:30 p.m.

Zalma foreited Saturday's preliminary round game to Richland, which advanced to play top-seeded Oran on Monday in a first-round game at Oran.
