St. Vincent finished the highest among area high school golf teams during state competition as the Indians wound up third in the Class 1A Tournament that concluded Tuesday in Columbia.

The Indians had a 648 total, behind champion Tipton (615) and runner-up Ash Grove (637).

No individual St. Vincent player finished in the top 15. Final two-day totals were Jarrod Hoch 157, Jon Clements 159, Dustin Cattoor 166, Keith Pecaut 167 and Joe Ponder 170.

Notre Dame wound up ninth in 2A in Columbia, finishing at 678 after shooting a 334 Tuesday. John Burroughs (613) was first and Richmond (628) second while Arcadia Valley placed sixth (658).

Dan Buerck earned all-state honors by finishing 15th with a 158 total after shooting a 79 both days. Other Notre Dame scores from Tuesday were Jonathan LeGrand 79, Chris Koeper 8 and Cliff Seratti 88.

Jackson wound up 11th in 4A in Sedalia, finishing with a 649 after shooting a 328 Tuesday. Rock Bridge (616) was first and Rockhurst (617) second.

The Indians were led by Travis Reiminger's 158 total after an 82 Tuesday. Other Tuesday and total scores for Jackson were John Litz 79 (161), Tyler Luebbers 82 (163), Clint Faries 85 (168) and Gabe Estes 88 (170).

Cape Central's lone individual in 4A, Dane McLaird, placed 20th at 157 after a 79 Tuesday.
