St. Vincent girls basketball team uses big second quarter to beat Jefferson

Kayla Seabaugh posted a double-double and the St. Vincent girls basketball team defeated visiting Jefferson 45-35 on Monday night.

Seabaugh finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Indians, who improved to 6-2.

Seabaugh scored 10 of her points in a decisive second quarter where the Indians held a 22-9 scoring edge.

Katie Mattingly added 13 points and six rebounds.

Notre Dame swimmers won five events as the Bulldogs won a three-team meet at Central Pool.

Notre Dame senior Morgan Morris won the 200 individual medley and the 100 breaststroke. She also was a member of the victorious 200 freestyle relay with Becky Earley, Deanna Hoffman and Katie Emmendorfer.

Central also won five events, including the 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay.
