Southeast Missouri State University softball player Emmy Kisaka has been named to the Verizon Academic All-District VII team.
Kisaka, a junior second baseman, batted .286 for the Otahkians this year. She has a 3.84 grade-point average in Athletic Administration.
Kisaka is the third Southeast female athlete honored as an academic all-district selection this school year, the other's being Krista Haukap in volleyball and Amy Arteme in cross country.
Being named to the all-district team makes the three Southeast athletes eligible to be on the national Academic All-American ballot that will be determined in a few weeks.
