Dalhousie Golf Club had busy weekend

Dalhousie hosted two events over Memorial Day weekend: the Quota Tournament and a couples scramble.

Also at the course, Mary Kinsella scored a hole in one Sunday on the par-3, 106-yard No. 8, using a 6-iron. The ace was Kinsella's first. It was witnessed by Matt Kinsella.

* In the annual Quota Tournament, which took place Saturday, players earn three points for birdies, two for pars and one for bogeys and try to score more points than their quotas (36 minus their handicaps).

Tom Hamilton, who has a 5-handicap, and Ben Cantrell, who has a 2-handicap, tied for first place in the men's gold tee flight at plus-1. Neil Prater and Rick Miller tied for third by matching their quota. Jeff Patton was minus-1 and Mark McDowell was minus-2.

In the men's blue tee flight, Tom Armbruster, a 19-handicap, and Matt Kinsella, a 16-handicap, tied for first place at plus-4. Jerry Stone was third at plus-1, and Lyle Davis was fourth at zero. Richard Montgomery and Bill Morgan tied for fifth place at minus-1.

Ann Dombrowski and Robin Davis tied atop the ladies green tee flight. Dombrowski, a 22-handicap, and Davis, a 28-handicap, scored plus-3 to edge Harriette Myers, a 2-handicap, by one point.

* In the couples four-person scramble on Monday, Jerry and Nancy Stone and Jim and Beverly Rust placed first with a score of 69.

Finishing second with 71 was the team of Cord and Ann Dombrowski, Aaron Dombrowski and Angie Amschler.

Jerry Stone was closest to the pin on No. 5, and Ann Dombrowski was closest to the pin on No. 8.

SEALS swimmers earn conference honors

Several swimmers from the Southeast Aquatic League were listed in the Ozark Conference's 10 fastest swimmers, released recently.

The Ozark Conference includes most of Missouri and parts of Illinois. Swimmers are grouped into 2-year age brackets.
