Top-seeded Kelly girls rolled past Woodland 57-27 on Friday night to advance to the championship game in the Class 3 District 2 tournament being hosted by Greenville.

Kelly will play Greenville at 6 tonight at Three Rivers Community College in Poplar Bluff. The Kelly-Charleston boys championship will follow at 7:30.

Kelly Essner scored 15 points to lead Kelly (23-4), which led 42-10 at halftime. Jessica Burnett, Brittney Ponder and Leigh Ann Buchheit each scored nine points.

In the other semifinal final, No. 2 seed Greenville eliminated third-seeded Scott City with a 49-32 decision.

Alicia Obermann led Scott City (10-15) with nine points.

BOYS BASKETBALL Class 2 District 3 St. Vincent 81, Viburnum 60

Alex Armbruster poured in 37 points to lead top-seeded St. Vincent past Viburnum in the district tournament at Perry Park Center in Perryville.

Armbruster also added seven assists, four blocks and six steals. He made 13 of 15 free throws, including 10 of 12 in the fourth period.

Waylon Richardet added 13 points and 11 rebounds for St. Vincent (19-6), while Danny Rellergert had 12 points, and Jacob DeWilde scored 10.

St. Vincent plays Crossroads, a 40-38 winner Friday against Bismarck, in tonight's 7:30 final.
