  • Suspended Miami Dolphins running back Ricky Williams will undergo surgery today to repair a broken left arm and is expected to miss at least four weeks, The Globe and Mail reported Sunday.

Williams, playing in the CFL, was hurt during the first half of a 26-23 win over the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Saturday.

The injury happened when Williams reached out with his left hand to break his fall on the turf at Mosaic Stadium in Regina. He later returned to the sideline with his arm in a sling.

Under the deal between Toronto and Miami, the Argos are under no obligation to get the Dolphins' approval before sending Williams back on the field.

Through his first four games, Williams had been slow to adjust to three-down football. He entered Saturday's game with 53 carries for 214 yards and had four carries for 17 yards before the injury.

Tennis

  • Top-seeded James Blake won a tiebreaker in the third set to beat second-seeded Andy Roddick 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (5) and win the RCA Championships on Sunday afternoon.

It was Blake's second career win over Roddick in eight tries. Roddick still hasn't won a tournament this year.

Roddick finished with 17 aces, but was consistently frustrated by Blake's foot speed. In the tiebreaker, Blake chased down one of many balls that appeared unreachable to go up 6-4. Roddick served an ace to make it 6-5, but Blake closed it out on the next point.
