Angle wins JC play of the day; Steele first in club's ladies day

Harriette Myers, Diane Fowler, Suzie Ruppert and Barb Dalton teamed up for another victory at Dalhousie Golf Club this week.

The foursome won the low gross division in the four-lady Cha-Cha-Cha on Tuesday at Dalhousie.

Myers, Fowler, Ruppert and Dalton last year won the Dalhousie Ladies Scramble in July, not long after Myers and Fowler had won their record sixth Lassies Classic at Cape Girardeau Country Club.

The format for Tuesday's event was best ball on par-5s, two balls on par-4s and three team balls on par-3s.

Myers, Fowler, Ruppert and Dalton posted a scored of 146.

Liz Moore, Casey O'Brien, Cissy LeGear and Mary Ann Beatie combined for a 149 to place second.

In the low net division, Cathy Stecher, Karen Campbell, Danna Phillips and Donna Easton posted a score of 112 for top honors.

Carol Largent, Patsy Blanton, Alice Temm and Jane Kirk scored a 119 for runner-up honors.

Closest-to-the-pin honors went to Moore on No. 5, Shirley Vandevort on No. 8, Easton on No. 11 and Robin Davis on No. 13.

Angle wins JC play of the day

Lil Angle had the best score with three clubs and a putter in the play of the day Tuesday at the Cape Girardeau JC Women's Golf at Cape Jaycee Municipal Golf Course.

Deanna Peterman was medalist on the day, while Waunita Van Dyke won the B flight. Liz Grimes had the low putts.

Steele first in club's ladies day

Leslie Steele placed first over 18 holes and was the medalist Thursday in Cape Girardeau Country Club's Ladies Day action.

Kathy Morris finished second, while Linda Tewis, Beth Mapes and Luanne Kiefner tied for third place.

Jean Mabrey had the top score on nine holes.
