Barbara Johnson, representing Kimbeland Country Club in Jackson, won the championship flight low gross at the Missouri Women's Golf Association Senior Amateur Championship played Tuesday and Wednesday at Silo Ridge Golf and Country Club in Bolivar.
Johnson tied for second overall in the 36-hole event on the 5,686-yard course. She finished with a 25-over-par score of 167. Johnson had rounds of 81 and 86.
Barbara Berkmeyer of Norwood Hills Country Club won the event with a 10-over 152.
Beth Mapes was medalist and captured first place over 18 holes Thursday in Cape Girardeau Country Club Ladies Day action.
The play of the day was best score for odd holes.
Judy Holcomb was the nine-hole winner Thursday. Over 18 holes, tying for second behind Mapes were Mary Ellen Bean and Vicki McKinney.
The team of Tom and Martha Hamilton and David and Kathy Morris placed first Friday in Cape Girardeau Country Club Friday Night Couples play.
Ron Unterreiner, Robyn Young and John and Judy Holcomb formed the runner-up team.
Lillian Schneider of Jackson aced the 102-yard, par-3 Hole A at Kimbeland Country Club on Sunday. She used a pitching wedge for her second career hole in one. Her feat was witnessed by Betty Roth, Sis Winkler and Bill Winkler.
