  • J.B. Shuck held Missouri batters to just four hits and one run to lead Ohio State to a 4-2 win Sunday at the Pepsi Baseball Classic.

Shuck (1-0) tossed seven innings for the Ohio State (1-2), striking out six and walking one. Dan Barker pitched a scoreless eighth, and Rory Meister picked up his first save of the season despite giving up a run.

Missouri (5-4) took a 1-0 lead in the third inning , but Ohio State moved ahead 2-1 in the fourth inning and added two runs in the sixth inning.

Aaron Crow (0-1) took the loss, giving up four runs on seven hits.

* Tyler Hansbrough scored 21 points to help No. 21 North Carolina continue its climb in the Atlantic Coast Conference with an 81-57 victory over Maryland.

The Tar Heels (19-6, 10-4 ACC) won easily to help solidify their hold on second place in the conference behind No. 1 Duke and clinch a first-round bye in the conference tournament.
