The Chicago Bulls placed Kendall Gill on the injured list Sunday with a strained right Achilles' tendon, snapping the guard's consecutive game streak at 138. Gill was injured in Friday's win over Dallas.

Southern Illinois set a school record for its best start in conference play Sunday as the Salukis (14-2, 8-0 Missouri Valley beat visiting Indiana State (8-8, 4-4) 53-44. Darren Brooks scored 14 points and reserve LaMar Owen had 12 points and seven rebounds for the Salukis.
