ORAN, Mo. — Molly Spane was nearly untouchable in Oran’s 8-6 win over East Prairie at Oran High School on Thursday, April 4.

Oran’s (5-2) senior ace threw a complete-game gem, featuring 17 strikeouts and just one earned run allowed to fuel a big Scott-Mississippi Conference rivalry victory.

Spane wasn’t the only Eagle with a strong performance. Kendall Burger led Oran’s offense with a 3-for-4 night, while Ava Forehand chipped in with two hits and an RBI. Spane also contributed offensively with an RBI and a run scored.

East Prairie (4-3) fought hard, led by Alsion Miller (2-for-5, triple, RBI, two runs) and Ella Dunn (2-for-4, RBI, run).

East Prairie’s Rylee Wilson took the loss despite a solid six innings, allowing seven earned runs while striking out seven.

East Prairie hosts Bernie (5-2) on Friday, April 5, while Oran travels to Bloomfield on Monday, April 8.
