Southeast Missouri State volleyball player Molly Davis has been selected First Team CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American. Southeast Missouri State volleyball player Molly Davis has been selected First Team CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American.

Davis, a senior, had been selected third team Academic All-American as a junior. She is the first Southeast volleyball player to be named first team since Lori Kramper in 1988. Davis also is the second Southeast volleyball player to receive multiple Academic All-American honors, joining Laura Dill, who was second team in 1989 and 1990.

Davis is the school's career leader in digs with 2,223 and has compiled a perfect 4.0 grade point average in sports management. She is on schedule to graduate in May.

At Southeast, Davis, a native of Muncie, Ind., started at libero since her freshman season.

Davis is the only representative from the OVC on an Academic All-American Team. She is one of eight members among the 18 volleyball players honored to have a 4.0 GPA.
