After scoring one goal in its first two games and nine in all of the 2008 season, the Southeast Missouri State women's soccer team unleashed an offensive onslaught Friday night with a 10-0 victory against Alabama A&M at Houck Stadium.

Southeast (2-1) had been involved in a pair of 1-0 games this season -- a double-overtime win in its opener against Indiana State and a loss to Evansville -- while Alabama A&M (0-3) had been outscored 15-2 in a pair of losses.

Vanessa Hart, Taylor Thomas and Bobbi Jo Schlick netted two goals apiece as seven Redhawks scored goals.

Schlick, a freshman from Jackson, scored her first goals at Southeast, including the game's first goal in the 23rd minute off a pass from Courtney Luehmann.

Hart gave Southeast a 2-0 lead when she scored off a corner kick with 28 seconds left in the half.

Hart then opened up the second-half floodgates with a goal two minutes into the period. Schlick followed with her second goal eight minutes later. Kelly Goehring, Hayley Abbott and Lauren Lacopo made it 7-0, before Thomas netted the next two goals for a 9-0 advantage. Mabel Velarde capped the scoring in the 81st minute.

The Redhawks held a 24-5 shooting advantage. Southeast goalkeeper Kristen Starkey was not required to make a save.
