The Southeast Missouri State men's indoor track and field team took home both Ohio Valley Conference weekly awards after a strong performance at last weekend's SASF Invitational in Carbondale, Ill.
Junior Josh Uchtman was named the OVC male field athlete of the week and senior Paul Stemmerman the OVC male track athlete of the week.
Uchtman captured Southeast's lone individual title at the SASF Invitational with the top throw in the shot put.
Uchtman's toss of 58 feet, 4 3/4 inches, which surpassed the NCAA provisional qualifying mark, ranks first in the OVC and 10th nationally. The distance also ranks third on the school's all-time list.
Uchtman, the reigning OVC indoor male field athlete of the year, also placed seventh in the weight throw at the SASF Invitational.
Stemmerman finished second in the 3,000 meters at the SASF Invitational. His time of 8 minutes, 47.25 seconds is the best in the OVC this season.
Southeast track and field squads compete Saturday at the EIU Mega Meet in Charleston, Ill.
The Southeast athletic department and the Show Me Center are partnering with the American Red Cross to help raise money for the American Red Cross Haiti Relief and Development Fund.
Donations may be made at any of the concession stands inside the Show Me Center during three events this week -- Southeast's basketball doubleheaders today and Saturday, along with the WWE Presents RAW Live! performance Friday.

The Southeast athletic administrative staff recently moved to a new location.
The director of athletics, ticket, business, compliance, sports information, marketing, development and event management offices are now located at 1221 Broadway, just west of Imo's Pizza.
Those departments previously were housed in Houck Field House and the Success Center.
