A collection of reports on Southeast's action over the weekend.

Carly Muller scored with less than five minutes left in the second half to lift the Eastern Kentucky soccer team past Southeast 1-0 on Sunday.

Muller took a feed from Alex Raich to beat Redhawks freshman goalie Kristen Starkey, who made four saves in the contest.

Stephanie Lynch recorded five saves for the Colonels.

Lauren Lacopo led Southeast with two shots on goal.

Southeast fell to 2-2-3 in the Ohio Valley Conference and 7-6-3 overall.

Southeast wraps up OVC play at 3 p.m. Thursday at Murray Statefor a contest postponed by weather earlier this season.

Softball honored

The Southeast softball team recently was selected among 108 NCAA Division I squads by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association to the organization's all-academic team for the 2008-09 academic year.

Southeast tied for 23rd in the nation with a cumulative 3.35 grade-point average and was one of six squads honored from the OVC. The Redhawks ranked fourth in the OVC.

This marks the 10th consecutive time Southeast has been selected as a NFCA all-academic team.

Eight Southeast players also were honored for their academic achievements: Giana Zimmerman, Nicole Troncoso, Shelby Stein, Renee Kertz, Whitney Dupuis, Tiffany Blanco, Stefanie Barnes and Sirena Watkins.
