Southeast Missouri State freshman Ashton Aubuchon has been named the Ohio Valley Conference goalkeeper of the week for women's soccer.
Aubuchon allowed just one goal and recorded a .929 save percentage as Southeast went 1-1 last week.
Aubuchon made a career-high seven saves and recorded her second shutout in Sunday's 1-0 win at Arkansas State.
She made six saves in Friday's 1-0 loss at Western Kentucky.
Aubuchon is 4-3 with a 1.43 goals-against average this season.
The Redhawks (4-4) begin OVC play Friday at Jacksonville State, which will be the third of four consecutive Southeast road games.
The Southeast volleyball team, already nine matches into its season, finally will get to play at home this weekend as the Redhawks begin their OVC schedule.
Southeast hosts Eastern Kentucky at 7 p.m. Friday and Morehead State at 1 p.m. Saturday.
The Redhawks (3-6) played their first nine matches at three tournaments.
"I think playing the really good teams we did will make us better," Southeast coach Renata Heard said. "We're looking forward to finally playing at home and starting conference."
Southeast softball coach Lana Richmond has added Killian Roessner as an assistant.
Roessner will assume duties as pitching and catchers coach while serving as recruiting coordinator and oversee the offseason conditioning program.
Roessner comes to Cape Girardeau after a two-year stint as an assistant at the University of Memphis. She is a former standout catcher at LSU, starting four years and earning All-American honors in 2007.
"We are very pleased to have Killian on our staff. She brings a competitive energy and an abundance of knowledge to our program," Richmond said in a release. "She understands where our pitchers need to be both physically and mentally.
"Having a former All-American catcher on our staff will also be instrumental to the development of our two freshmen catchers."
