Scott County Central senior Dominique Porter went out on top.

He started to walk back to his team's locker room after answering questions following the Class 1 boys basketball state championship game, but he stopped and shook his head slightly before turning back.

"I'm going to miss this," he said.

Porter helped the Braves win their fourth consecutive state championship Saturday. He scored 28 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in his final game with the Braves.

"I haven't wanted anything as bad as this state title," he said. "It feels very good. I'm just proud of everybody on this team that helped contribute. Not just the five starters or the sixth man. I'm talking about everybody. Everybody that helped us this past year, who played as another player from a different team that helped us find out what kind of offense or what kind of defense that we're playing. I just want to thank all the juniors, the seniors, the sophomores, the freshmen -- everybody that help us get here."

The Braves defeated Drexel 79-72 in the championship game.

Porter also played a key role in his team's semifinal victory over Glasgow. He scored 23 points and snared three rebounds in that game.

Porter leaves SCC with three state titles.
