Oran senior guard Kody Moore scored 22 points in the championship game of the Class 2 District 3 tournament to help the Eagles to their third consecutive district title.

All three titles have come at the expense of Advance, the latest an 81-74 triumph Friday.

Moore was not deterred by a couple early misses, finishing with six 3-pointers to help propel the Eagles into the sectional round with a 25-3 record.

"There's been a couple games this year where I've come out and missed the first one or two, and I've kind of been a little more timid and ain't shot as much," Moore said. "I come out and missed my first two today, and I was like, 'There's no way that's stopping me today. There ain't nothing stopping me today.' I hit my third one, and I think I got in a little bit of a rhythm after that."

It was nothing new for Advance, which won the first of four season meetings with the Eagles but lost the next three.

"They've got some good shooters, and they knocked them down just like -- we've seen it," Advance coach Andrew Halford said.

The Oran senior was not a one-man act. Seth Ressel, who had two 3-pointers, and Alex Heuring both added 19 points.

Moore also led the way in the district semifinals with 23 points, including four 3-pointers, in a 68-60 win over Chaffee.
