Brooke Bohnert has helped the Notre Dame girls basketball team get on a roll over the last week.
The senior was the team's leading scorer in the Bulldogs' last three wins.
She helped Notre Dame defeat crosstown rival Central 53-39 at the Show Me Center on Jan. 31. She scored 12 points in the win.
Bohnert followed that performance with 20 points against Notre Dame-St. Louis in the Bulldogs' 74-26 win Saturday.
"She stepped up as a leader tonight," Notre Dame coach Renee Peters said after Saturday's win. "We're at the point now where we have to play smarter. Instead of driving it in all the time, she's going to take the little 8- to 10-foot jump shot, and when she's open, she's confident. The girls know she can hit, and she did, and that's what we needed."
Notre Dame needed all 22 points and eight rebounds from Bohnert in its 52-51 win over Dexter on Monday. The victory moved the Bulldogs to 12-11 this season.
Bohnert, who has been a regular in Notre Dame's starting lineup since her sophomore season, scored her 1,000th career point earlier this season.
"It's just really exciting," Bohnert said. "I didn't even know I was close to being a part of that."
