Notre Dame senior Brady Dixon apparently is saving his best golf for last, opening the Bulldogs' drive for a state title with his best 18 holes in an accomplished high school career.
Dixon's 3-under-par 69 at the Class 3 District 1 meet at Crowne Pointe Golf Club in Farmington, Missouri, last week earned him medalist, one stroke ahead of the defending Class 3 state champion -- sophomore teammate Jack Litzelfelner. It was the second time Dixon finished as district medalist, having accomplished the feat as a freshman on the same course.
Dixon's prep career resume also reads two-time sectional medalist. He earned the honor as a junior, helping the Bulldogs reach the state meet and an eventual second-place finish in Class 3. He also was a sectional co-medalist as a sophomore in 2012.
