Jackson sophomore Caitlyn Palmer won two events and broke a meet record in being named MVP of the Show-Me Conference swim meet last week.

Palmer posted state-qualifying times in winning the 200-yard individual medley in a meet-record 2 minutes, 14.86 seconds and the 100 butterfly in 58.85 seconds.

Palmer also won those same two events at the 18-team City of Roses Girls Invitational last month at Central Municipal Pool. She will be competing in both events this week at the Missouri Swimming and Diving Championships in St. Peters, Mo. Palmer was all-state as a freshman, placing fifth in the 100 butterfly.
