Southeast Missouri State junior Jill Schnurbusch and sophomore Blake Carter were named Ohio Valley Conference indoor field athletes of the week Tuesday.

Schnurbusch, a Notre Dame Regional High School graduate, was honored for the second straight week as she broke her own school indoor pole vault record during Saturday's Indiana Relays.

Schnurbusch vaulted 12 feet, 1 1/2 inches to finish third. She originally set the record of 12 feet in the Redhawks' opening meet this year. She also owns the school's overall pole vault record of 12 2 1/2 set during last year's outdoor season.

Carter won the long jump at the Indiana Relays with a distance of 23-5 1/2.

Southeast track and field teams returns to action at the Husker Invitational this weekend in Lincoln, Neb.
